That Gruesome Cartoon Movie Ending That Lingers Fans

Out of every adult-oriented animated films I’ve ever viewed, nothing has lingered in my mind quite like the fear-filled conclusion of the explicitly bloody as well as highly provocative film from 2022 The Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, this Spanish filmmaker crafted a dark, somber , often savage world that included a few small , desolate twinges of hope.

While Unicorn Wars appears as it came from a drive to expand the medium even more, the director clarified that it was rather an attempt to communicate a universal, multicultural theme regarding “the shared root of every conflict.”

This theme is conveyed via a band of brightly hued teddy bears , openly inspired by a popular series of lovable figures.

Maturing in a culture built around aggression and the military-industrial complex, numerous these creatures are obsessed with slaughtering the mythical beasts, due to a holy book that claims them they were once rulers of the woodland, before these creatures forced them out.

A few have not completely fallen for the propaganda, and choose to experiment with substances or mate outdoors.

In contrast to their cuddly equivalents, these bright beings have visible sexual organs and definite sex drives.

For one notably brutal, pessimistic creature, the character Bluey, the war with the unicorns transforms into a path toward dominance — and particularly to dominance over his gentler, kinder brother the character Tubby.

The character behaves aggressively and a seeming sociopath , and when horror dominates his squad and claims his fellow soldiers sequentially, he seizes more and more influence personally, in increasingly bloody, harmful methods.

At the same time, the horned creatures are suffering their own nightmare, in the form of an expanding, harmful creature in their forest.

“Initially, it appears as a humorous movie,” the filmmaker stated. “Yet it turns into a more dramatic and sad movie. And ultimately, it becomes a terrifying movie.”

The Unicorn Wars commences feeling a bit like one of the most whimsical movies from an iconic filmmaker, which find a naughty glee in permitting animated figures swear, engage in violence, or engage sexually.

Then it turns into something more like a bleaker work from that director, with increasingly visual gore and a tangible relation to genuine tragedy of war.

By the end, it is a full-on Grand Guignol carnage.

The horror which makes this a perfect Halloween watch starts much sooner than indicated.

The Unicorn Wars is suited for the hardcore gorehounds, for fans of intense movies who want to view a film they haven’t ever seen on-screen before, and are able to withstand a plot which delivers no restraint.

See it in a dark room with no disturbances, and that ending will crawl deep within you and take up residence there.
